For Wednesday’s class we read a really interesting and account called Memoirs of Lady Hyegyong. This was one of my favorite readings so far. It was so interesting to read and like someone said in class it reminded me of a Shakespeare novel. It is really crazy to think something like this happened. I think it was really cool to see Lady Hyegyong take on the role to write all these and really changed it up from the normal. Although I really thought this was interesting, it was very sad to see what happened to all these people because of Prince Sado. It was a little confusing making sure I had all the names right, but in class we did a family tree kind of thing that really helped me piece them all together. On Thursday I responded to blog posts using Hypothes.is, and for Friday I worked on my chapter and abstract. Over Spring break I had a goal of catching up on everything, but I still have work to complete. On my to do list is: I need to add notes into Zotero folder. I also missed an assignment on accident and need to complete Refine Topic. I also wanted look at primary sources for my chapter, a suggestion I really liked and will look into is Dr. D told me was to use ones of people that escaped North Korea.
