Two titles I have in mind for my chapter are “The Kim Family Dynasty” and “The Kim Family’s Reign On North Korea”. I like these two titles because they summarize all the information I will be including into a few words. I want to include information about the structure of the government, and then dive into the Kim Family. I will be using three secondary sources, I believe they are secondary? These are all textbooks from the Trexler Library, North Korea: State of Paranoia, North Korea Through the Looking Glass, and North Korea. All these sources include information about the government and citizens rights. They also include lots of information about the Kim family and their control. also want to include pictures and maybe youtube videos in my chapter. My working hypothesis is, how has the Kim family influenced the evolution of North Korea? I am also thinking about the hypothesis of how the Kim Family has controlled North Korea. A general summary of what I will include is: Ever since North and South Korea split in 1948, North Korea has been ruled by the Kim family. North Korea has a totalitarian government and has full authority over its residents. The constitution suggests people are free, but that is not the case. North Koreans have attempted to escape into China and South Korea. Leaving everything they have worked for and their families behind in an attempt to escape for freedom. The classification of residents are determined by their loyalty to the Kim regime. Everyone is watched at all times by military and security organizations. People are punished in the most inhumane ways. How has the Kim Family done all of this? The main topic is how the Kim Family rose to leadership and created this country. Five key words are North Korea, Kim Family, control, government, and rights.
